I’ve conquered this table…it is mine!!
I finally am able to paint the table and chose Duck Egg Blue by Annie Sloan. The paint is still wet but couldn’t wait to get pics of it. I love this color and felt this piece called out for it. It looks so adorable. I hope you agree. Still need to finish wax, distress a bit. Sooo much better than mauve.
Well, I added a clear wax finish on this piece yesterday, added some distressing, and little dabs of dark wax here and there. I just need to add the new back on the dresser, the old one was pretty beat up and it will be complete.
Again, I have to say the wood top on this dresser came out so beautiful. Its a deep walnut yet you can see the grain of the wood.
Some work I am doing to this piece is I removed the old backing to install a new fresh wood back. I also sanded the top. I was going to paint it but will go with the dark walnut stain on the top. Aside from that the dresser is a strong solid piece of furniture for sure.
I am painting probably by end of week…I’ll keep ya posted!
I’ve been fighting a nasty cold for quite a while but feeling better, thank goodness. Time to pick myself up and get back to work
I recently finished an end table using Annie Sloans Old White paint and have some pics for you. This table has a real French Country style with a lot of details, brought to life with some dark wax and distressing. You can really see the details now, more so then before when it was just stained.
I hope you like it as much as I do
Well, I’ve finished my dresser and it looks awesome! The Old White Paint with the dark wax looks beautiful with the wood top. Its a perfect fit. This dresser is for sale in Shop Furniture . I also posted a video below
